Teal Silk Scrunchie Earrings

Did you know the colour teal gets its name from a duck? Once upon a time someone decided that the bluey-green stripe running down the back of a teal's head was so beautiful that it deserved its very own name. 

Made from rescued silk. Meaning if I hadn't turned it into these ruffled hoops of heaven, it would have ended up in landfill. Transparency: the thread was not rescued, that was new.

Handmade in the words truest sense. No greenwashing up in here!

Gold plated, so all ye with sensitive ears are good to go.

Please be aware that silk can easily get stained with makeup, so be careful when you're all dolled up…

To wash: With warm water and a small amount of soap, gently dab the affected area and rinse with clean water. Air dry.
